BOULDER, Co. - The manufacturer of Robitussin CF allegedly knew that PPA, the product's active ingredient, could potentially cause hemorrhagic strokes but failed to warn consumers of such risks, according to a lawsuit filed recently in Colorado. Patti Zeidler v. Whitehall-Robins, et al., No. N/A (Co. Dist. Ct., Boulder Cty.)
Plaintiff Patti Zeidler also claims in the Jan. 8 complaint filed in Boulder County District Court that the drug company could have used an alternate ingredient in the drug's formulation that would have made the drug safer to use.
