PIKEVILLE, Ky. - The plaintiffs involved in a proposed statewide class action lawsuit against the manufacturer of Oxycontin have agreed to a dismissal of the putative class' claims with prejudice. Ricky Salisbury, et al., v. Purdue Pharma, L.P., et al., No. 01-241-KKC (E.D. Ky., Pikeville Div.).
The Jan. 9 order, signed by U.S. District Judge Karen K. Caldwell, removed the action from the active docket and denied the plaintiffs' pending motion for class certification.
