DALLAS –– The defendants involved in a consolidated Pinnacle Hip Implant injury trial have objected to rulings on trial exhibits, saying that much of the permitted evidence is “irrelevant, unduly prejudicial and threatens to confuse and mislead the jury.”

In the Jan. 17 objections filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the defendants named 15 different categories of plaintiff exhibits in which they contended that the Special Master erroneously ruled on their admissibility.

Trial in the five consolidated cases –– Aoki, Christopher, Greer, Klusmann and Peterson ––began on Jan. 8 with jury selection, according to …
