S.C. Federal Judge Allows Plaintiff to File Amended Complaint in Stryker Hip Implant Action

CHARLESTON, S.C. — A South Carolina federal judge has allowed a plaintiff to file an amended complaint in a hip implant lawsuit, ruling that the plaintiff has sufficiently pled state law product liability claims against Stryker Corp.
However, in a Jan. 4 order, Judge Patrick M. Duffy of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina directed the plaintiff to omit those allegations lacking specificity from the amended pleading.
