Biomet Plaintiffs’ Committee Says M2a-Taper Claims Should be Remanded, Are Designed ‘Significantly’ Different

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –– The plaintiffs’ executive committee has filed a position statement in the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant coordinated docket, insisting that the defendant’s M2a-Taper products should be remanded since it is a different device than that of the Magnum or M2a 38 implants.
In a Dec. 9 memorandum of the status conference, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana noted that it had requested the written statement during a Dec. 7 status conference.
