SAN FRANCISCO –– A California DePuy ASR hip implant plaintiff has moved to remand his claims, reiterating his position that he is entitled for trial preference due to his deteriorating health.

The plaintiffs filed the motion on Oct. 1 in the California Superior Court for San Francisco County, maintaining that the underlying plaintiff has a life expectancy of six months.

Plaintiff William Lansbury, 85, asserted the claims after his surgeon implanted him with the DePuy ASR hip device. After the surgery, the plaintiff said he began to suffer “debilitating hip pain and limited mobility.” Two years after the surgery, his …
