PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania federal jury has returned a verdict in favor of McNeil Consumer Healthcare and Johnson & Johnson, rejecting claims that a toddler developed Stevens Johnson Syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis after she was given several doses of Children’s Motrin to treat a fever.
The jury, sitting in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, issued the verdict on Sept. 29 after a nine-day trial, according to the court docket. Judge Paul S. Diamond presided over the proceedings, which began on Sept. 9.
