Expert Testimony from 2 Zimmer Experts in NexGen Knee Implant Bellwether Trial Precluded by MDL Court

CHICAGO –– The testimony of two experts proffered by Zimmer to testify in the NexGen Knee Implant bellwether trial has been limited in scope by the MDL Court, which found in part that the testimony had the ability to confuse and mislead the jury.

In the Aug. 27 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted motions to exclude testimony from Drs. Stuart Goodman and Timothy Wright on the alignment of the implant and a retrieval study, respectively.
