Biomet Hip Implant PSC Files Brief Outlining Common Benefit Fund Disbursement

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –– A brief has been filed in the Biomet M2A Mangum Hip Implant products liability multi-district litigation docket indicating that the $6 million common benefit fee “is a reasonable amount in this litigation,” which has resulted in the settlements of more than 1,800 cases.

In an Aug. 7 petition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee asked for the payment of common benefit attorneys’ fees and expenses from the Biomet Common Benefit MDL Assessment Fund.
