PHILADELPHIA — Strict liability claims asserted against Synthes in connection with its N-Hance spinal fixation rod system are barred by Comment k to the Restatement (second) of Torts, a Pennsylvania federal judge has ruled, reasoning that the device is “unavoidably unsafe.”
