WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has ruled that a breach of contract action involving a settlement dispute belongs in the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant MDL, since the judge overseeing the coordinated docket has already handled similar settlement-related disputes.

In the June 8 order, the JPML rejected the plaintiff’s contention that having the MDL judge hear the breach of contract dispute would exceed the scope of the docket.
