New Complaint Filed in Missouri Federal Court Says Biomet’s Vanguard Knee System ‘Catastrophically’ Failed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –– A plaintiff has filed a lawsuit in Missouri federal court, contending that her Vanguard CR Total Knee System “catastrophically” failed after only two to three years after implantation.

In the June 5 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the plaintiff said she has suffered pain, swelling, inflammation, and loss of mobility as a result of the defective implant.
