DePuy ASR Hip Implant Defendants Oppose Motion to Remand, Say Coordination Still Necessary

SAN FRANCISCO –– DePuy Orthopaedics has opposed a motion to remand a ASR Hip Implant case to trial, saying that court has already denied similar efforts after it found that coordination of the case was necessary.
In the June 16 opposition filed in the California Superior Court for San Francisco County, DePuy said that no case-specific depositions, and only very limited written discovery have been done in the underlying case.
Barry and Lisa Keen filed the case in the Los Angeles Superior Court in Jan. 2011, alleging that Barry Keen suffered injury after undergoing bilateral implants and four revision surgeries. …
