RENO, Nev. — A Nevada federal judge has denied C.R. Bard Inc.’s motion to seal certain materials following its settlement of a lawsuit involving its inferior vena cava filter, ruling that the reasons for sealing do not outweigh the public’s interest in gaining access to the judicial records.
In a June 1 order, Judge Robert C. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada further held that Bard waived the issue because did not move to seal the exhibits or testimony during trial.
