Hip Implant MDL Judge Says Biomet Didn’t Violate Master Settlement Agreement; Creates New PSC

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –– The court overseeing the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant Multidistrict Litigation docket has found that Biomet did not violate its obligations under the Master Settlement Agreement in regard to mediation tactics.

In the May 27 case management order, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana also granted motions to disband the current Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee and selected 10 more attorneys to step in to what the MDL judge referred to as “Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee II.”
