Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee Moves to Disband Current Leadership Structure

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –– The plaintiffs’ steering committee involved in the national Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant coordinated docket has once again moved to disband the current leadership structure, saying that the “vast majority” of its members will soon have no cases in the MDL.
In the joint motion filed May 14 with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the plaintiffs noted the Master Settlement Agreement reached last year will result in the settlement of approximately 1,725 cases.
Of that number, 1,675 are already settled and 921 have been fully funded, the plaintiffs explained.
