Zimmer Seeks to Quash Subpoena Served on Fact Witness for Upcoming NexGen Knee Implant Trial

CHICAGO –– Zimmer Inc. has moved to quash a subpoena the plaintiffs in the NexGen Knee Implant Products Liability Multidistrict litigation served upon Dr. Giles Scuderi, saying that it seeks a “significant burden on a non-party witness.”

In the May 20 motion to quash filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Zimmer said that the plaintiffs’ subpoena goes “beyond the subject of Dr. Scuderi’s expected testimony.”
