Former Medtronic Employee Disqualified From Appearing as Plaintiffs’ Technical Expert in Insulin Pump Case

MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin federal judge has disqualified plaintiffs’ technical expert in a Medtronic insulin pump case, ruling that because the expert had worked for Medtronic and was privy to confidential information relevant to the action it would be unfair to defendants to allow him to testify.
In an April 30 order, Judge James D. Peterson of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin afforded the plaintiffs additional time to find a replacement expert.
