MINNEAPOLIS - U.S. District Judge Michael J. Davis recently denied plaintiff Lois Anderson's motion to remand her Baycol products liability case on grounds that her physician is a citizen of Syria and not a permanent resident of Mississippi. In re: Baycol Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1431 (D. Minn).
According to the order, Abdul Bahro, M.D., cannot be considered a citizen of the state of Mississippi because he does not have a green card signifying he is an alien that has been granted permanent residence in the United States.
