Woman Accuses Stryker of Illegally Promoting OP-1 Spinal Fusion Putty for Off-Label Use

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A New Mexico woman has sued Stryker Biotech LLC in Massachusetts state court, accusing it of illegally promoting its OP-1 Putty for off-label use while hiding the risk of injury resulting from such use.
According to the April 13 complaint filed in the Middlesex County Superior Court, Stryker knew that the off-label mixture of OP-1 with synthetic bone void fillers was ineffective and would result in migration of the OP-1 away from the surgical site.
