Biomet M2a Magnum MDL Court Defers Ruling on Plaintiff Steering Committee Request for Early Termination

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –– The federal court overseeing the national coordinated docket for claims arising from allegedly defective Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implants has deferred ruling on a request from lead and liaison counsel on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for early termination of their appointments, instead inviting new applications for the PSC.

In a March 18 memorandum of a status conference held two days prior, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana also stated that the mediation process outlined in the Settlement Agreement has been completed the parties “are in the process of finalizing the pending settlements.”
