SEATTLE — A Washington federal judge has denied Forest Laboratories Inc.’s motion for summary judgment in a Celexa suicide action, ruling that a triable issue of fact exists as to whether his doctor would have prescribed the drug in 2002 had he been provided with a different warning.
On April 8, Judge Robert S. Lasnik of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington further found the testimony of the plaintiff’s causation expert establishes a question of fact as to whether the drug caused the deceased to commit suicide.
