FORT MEYERS, Fla. — A Florida man has adequately alleged that Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. failed to warn his doctor that its acne drug Solodyn could cause hair loss and that the drug was defectively designed, a federal judge has ruled.
On April 3, Judge Sheri P. Chappell of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida further held that the plaintiff has adequately alleged that the drug maker negligently breached its duty to properly warn, advise, list all possible side effects, properly research, and test Solodyn.
Marco Dimieri ingested Solodyn to treat his acne from 2009 to 2010. …
