Pinnacle Hip Implant MDL Court Denies Defense Objections to the Depositions of Employees

DALLAS –– The MDL Court overseeing the national DePuy Orthopaedics Pinnacle Hip Implant Products Liability coordinated docket has allowed the plaintiffs leave to conduct a second deposition of current and former DePuy employees, saying the testimony sought by the plaintiffs is based on information that only just became available.
In the March 12 order, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas overruled defense objections to the plaintiff efforts, concluding that the plaintiffs could re-depose seven individuals and elicit testimony from three additional employees that had not been previously deposed.
