OXFORD, Miss. — A Mississippi federal judge has denied Forest Laboratories’ motion to exclude the testimony of a plaintiff’s expert in a Lexapro suicide case, finding the testimony is based on a reliable methodology and only incorporates relevant facts.
On Feb. 19, Judge Michael P. Mills of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi held that Dr. George Glass performed an adequate differential diagnosis and that his opinion on the specific cause of the suicide falls within the scope of the established general causes of SSRI-induced suicide.
