Zimmer Moves for Summary Judgment, Says Claims of Utah Plaintiff Fail Under State’s Product Liability Act

TRENTON, N.J. –– Zimmer has asked a federal court to throw out the claims of a Utah woman, saying that her claims that she was implanted with a defective Durom Cup are time-barred and unsupported.

Zimmer filed the motion on Jan. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, arguing that none of the plaintiffs offered “case-specific” opinions regarding the plaintiff’s need for a revision surgery.
