TRENTON, N.J. –– Parties involved in the Zummer Durom Hip Cup Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation have exchanged a number of briefs regarding expert admissibility, with both sides challenging each other’s experts.
In one of the briefs filed last month in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the plaintiffs argued that an expert proffered by the defendants should not be permitted to testify as to whether the failure of the Durom cup was the result of a defective implant since he had only reviewed a handful of cases.
