Durom Hip Cup MDL Plaintiffs Renew Motion for Sanctions on Zimmer for Spoliation of Evidence




TRENTON, N.J. –– Plaintiffs in the Durom Hip Cup MDL have renewed and amended their motion for sanctions relating to Zimmer Inc.’s alleged spoliation of evidence, maintaining their position that the defendant has destroyed “thousands” of extra Durom acetabular components, precluding the plaintiffs from conducting necessary testing.

In the Oct. 15 motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the plaintiffs argued that thousands of the devices have been manufactured and not sold.
