DALLAS — A federal jury in Texas has returned a unanimous defense verdict in a case filed by a Montana woman who claimed she suffered injuries as a result of a failed metal-on-metal Pinnacle hip implant manufactured by DePuy Orthopaedics Inc.
Jurors returned the verdict Oct. 23 at the conclusion of an 8-week trial in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. It was the first trial of thousands of similar claims pending in the Texas federal court and in state courts throughout the country.
