Plaintiffs Ask Judicial Panel to Send All Xarelto Products Liability Lawsuits to Illinois

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Plaintiffs in six lawsuits alleging injuries caused by the prescription blood-thinner Xarelto have filed a motion seeking creation of a single docket for pre-trial coordination of all similar cases filed in federal courts throughout the United States.
The motion was filed Oct. 9 with the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation and request that all pending and future cases, which are expected to number “in the thousands,” be sent to a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.
