Concerning Aggressive Behavior Associated with Accutane

photo-8Roche Laboratories, the manufacturer of Accutane, recently issued a letter to prescribing physicians informing them of alterations made to the drug's warning label regarding aggressive/violent behavior associated with the use of the acne medication.

The Nov. 1 letter also addresses changes made to the "Pediatric Labeling" section based on the results of recent studies involving the patient population. The new package insert also features a new table in the "Contraindications and Warnings" section designed to clarify the use of pregnancy tests and Accutane Qualification Stickers.
