DePuy Pinnacle Hip Implant Trial Underway in Dallas

DALLAS –– Trial in a case asserting claims against DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. for its allegedly defective Pinnacle Hip Implant is underway, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin, with jury selection and opening arguments completed.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas oversaw jury selection on Sept. 2 and opening arguments Sept. 3, sources said. Parties then began questioning the first witness, Andrew Ekdahl, sources told HarrisMartin.

The case involves claims brought by Kathleen Herlihy-Paoli. The case was originally filed in Montana before they were transferred to the national Pinnacle Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation docket before Judge Ed Kinkeade.
