Senate Agrees to Seek Repeal of Vaccine Provisions
from Homeland Security Act

photo-2WASHINGTON - The U.S. Senate recently announced that it has agreed to seek the repeal of provisions added to the Homeland Security Act that would have protected Eli Lilly and Co., and other manufacturers of thimerosal, from facing liability in personal injury lawsuits.
The Jan. 10 deal regarding the proposed legislation could reinstate lawsuits that were dismissed from state and federal court as a result of the provisions added to the Homeland Security Act.
