Court Establishes Bellwether Trial Program in CONSERVE Hip Implant MDL

ATLANTA –– The Georgia federal court overseeing the Wright Medical Technology Inc. Conserve Hip Implant multidistrict litigation proceedings has established a bellwether trial program, setting the first trial for March 2015.
According to the Aug. 19 scheduling order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the bellwether trial pool nominees will consist of 10 cases “previously identified and developed for mediation in this consolidated action.”
Six of the 10 cases include claims asserted by plaintiffs implanted with the WMT CONSERVE Total A-Class BFH with a thin, thick, spiked or HA cup. The bellwether plaintiffs include …
