Pa. Appeals Court Upholds $10 Million Children’s Motrin Verdict

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania appeals court has upheld a $10 million verdict awarded to a girl who was permanently injured after being given several doses of Children’s Motrin, ruling that Mc-Neil PPC Inc. was ultimately responsible for its lack of adequate warnings regarding the drug’s risks.

On July 22, the Pennsylvania Superior Court rejected McNeil’s arguments that the trial court improperly instructed the jury and erred in excluding certain evidence regarding the drug’s warning label.
