Fla. Stryker Rejuvenate Hip Plaintiffs Seek Court Order Forcing Release of Data on Similar Products

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Plaintiffs in Florida state court Stryker hip implant litigation have filed a motion to compel defendants to answer questions about similar products manufactured by the company and data related to adverse events reported by patient recipients of the device.
The motion was filed July 1 in Broward County Circuit Court, where several Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Modular Hip Implant cases have been consolidated for discovery. The plaintiffs contend the discovery has been thwarted by Stryker’s refusal to disclose information considered standard form in drug and medical device litigation.
