DePuy Waives Its Right to Walk Away from Settlement Agreement in ASR Hip Implant MDL

CLEVELAND –– DePuy Orthopaedics has waived its right to walk away from a settlement agreement reached in the ASR Hip Implant MDL proceedings several weeks before a court-imposed deadline required that it make a decision regarding its right to opt out of the agreement.

On May 20, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio issued a notice stating that DePuy had let the court know that it was waiving its walk away rights in relation to Section 17.1.1.1 and Section 17.1.1.2 of the Settlement Agreement.
