Zimmer Files Official Response to Plaintiff Efforts to Alter Confidentiality Order in Durom Hip Cup MDL

TRENTON, N.J. –– Zimmer Inc. (NYSE: ZMH) is contesting plaintiffs’ attempts to modify the confidentiality order governing the national Zimmer Durom Hip Cup Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation docket, arguing that the motion exaggerates the prejudice incurred by the plaintiffs.

In its May 9 response brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Zimmer reiterated its position that modifying the order would “violate the agreement between Zimmer and court-appointed liaison counsel and upset the negotiated balance that agreement represents.”
