Pa. Federal Judge Admits Experts’ Causation Testimony in Aredia/Zometa Case

SCRANTON, Pa. — A Pennsylvania federal judge has admitted the causation testimony of one of a plaintiff’s non-retained experts and both of his retained experts in an Aredia/Zometa injury case, finding that they all performed a differential diagnosis.
However, in the April 17 order, Judge Malachy E. Mannion of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania excluded the causation testimony of one of the plaintiff’s non-retained experts, finding he failed to perform a differential diagnosis as to the cause of the plaintiff’s osteonecrosis of the jaw.
