Stryker Wants Hip Implant Case Halted After Plaintiff’s Records ID Rejuvenate Product

NEW ORLEANS — Stryker Corp. has moved to stay a hip implant lawsuit filed in Louisiana after medical records revealed that the plaintiff’s alleged injuries were caused by the Rejuvenate and ABG II modular-neck products that are subject of federal multidistrict proceedings in Minnesota.
In a motion filed April 21 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Stryker contends that in light of the new information, the proceedings should be halted until the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation rules on a motion to transfer the action to MDL 2441.
