FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida federal judge has denied AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals’ motion to dismiss a Prilosec/Nexium injury case, ruling that the amended complaint put the drug maker on notice as to its allegedly inadequate warnings.

On April 10, Judge John E. Steele of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida further found that the plaintiff has adequately alleged that the antacids were defective or unreasonably dangerous.

Sharon King sued AstraZeneca in May 2013, asserting eight counts based on injuries allegedly caused by Prilosec and Nexium. The federal court dismissed the complaint for lack of subject …
