Judge Consolidates 5 Boston Scientific Pelvic Repair MDL Cases for Trial in Florida

CHARLESTON, W. Va. — The judge overseeing the Boston Scientific pelvic repair system multidistrict litigation has consolidated five actions for discovery and trial on all issues, explaining that they involve common issues of law and fact.

In the April 11 order, Judge Joseph R. Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia says that at the conclusion of pretrial proceedings, the cases will be remanded to the Southern District of Florida and he will try them there by intercircuit assignment. Trial is scheduled to begin Sept. 29.
