TRENTON, N.J. — Plaintiffs in the Durom Hip Cup MDL have asked a New Jersey federal judge to impose sanctions on Zimmer Inc. (NYSE: ZMH) for its alleged refusal to allow plaintiffs to conduct destructive testing on new and unused exemplars of the American version of the Durom Acetabular Component.
In the March 21 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, plaintiffs assert that Zimmer destroyed or lost more than 5,500 U.S. Durom hip cups between the time it became aware it was being sued and the time plaintiffs asked for the exemplars to …
