CAMDEN, N.J. — In a new suit, a Texas woman is accusing Daiichi Sankyo Inc. of failing to adequately warn doctors and patients that its blood pressure medication Benicar (olmesartan medoxomil) can cause serious intestinal problems.
The March 4 complaint, which was removed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, says the drug maker knew or should have known the drug could cause stomach, intestinal, and/or colonic disease manifestations.
