N.J. Federal Judge Allows Tylenol Injury Claim to Proceed Against McNeil

CAMDEN, N.J. — A claim for economic damages brought under the New Jersey Product Liability Act against McNeil-PPC Inc. by a man who alleges injuries caused by his ingestion of Tylenol Arthritis may proceed, a New Jersey federal judge has ruled.
On March 5, Judge Robert B. Kugler of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey ruled that the claim against McNeil, which the plaintiff asserted in an amended complaint, is not time-barred because it relates back to the plaintiff’s original pleading, which was timely.
