HARRISON, Ark. — An Arkansas woman has filed a lawsuit accusing Eli Lilly & Co. of failing to adequately warn doctors and consumers that its antidepressant Cymbalta can cause serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
The March 7 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas says Eli Lilly ignored numerous requests from the Food and Drug Administration to include such warnings in the Cymbalta labeling and patient medication guides.
