Mentor ObTape MDL Judge Remands Case to Minnesota; Seeks Inter-Circuit Assignment

COLUMBUS, Ga. — The judge overseeing the Mentor Corp. pelvic mesh multidistrict litigation has remanded a case to Minnesota federal court, but says he will seek inter-circuit assignment so that he may continue to preside over the action.
In the Feb. 24 order, Judge Clay D. Land of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia explained that “inter-circuit assignment would allow the parties to benefit from the Court's knowledge of MDL No. 2004 and would minimize delay and expense.”
