CHICAGO – A federal judge has denied motions by Howmedica Osteonics Corp. to prevent experts for plaintiff in an upcoming Triathlon knee trial from offering testimony on the expected life span of implants, saying it is within their expertise and an issue of fact for jurors to consider.
The Feb. 3 ruling by Judge William T. Hart of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois came on in limine motions by plaintiffs and defendants in a case scheduled for trial March 3.
