LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An Arkansas couple has filed a product liability lawsuit against Wright Medical Technology Inc., alleging that a titanium-based femoral component of the company's Profemur hip device failed because of defects in design and/or manufacture.
Keven and Brenda Latimer filed their 39-page complaint Jan. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas against Tennessee-based Wright Medical Technology Inc., alleging that the company, directly or through affiliates, “designed, manufactured, labeled, marketed, promoted, distributed, and sold” a defective titanium modular neck that was implanted in Keven.
