NexGen MDL Judge Terminates Motion to Strike Class Claims, Says Case Remanded

CHICAGO — The presiding judge in the NexGen Knee MDL has terminated Zimmer’s longstanding motion to strike class claims, saying that cause of action was stricken in the case in which it was brought and that case was subsequently remanded to its originating court.
Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer’s minute entry was filed in the MDL docket in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Jan. 24, along with other filings addressing pending motions.
